Sharing is Caring

Ok, seriously….what’s the deal moms? Aren’t we supposed to be supportive of other moms? Wouldn’t it be nice if we all got along? I’ve been creeping on mom boards I thought about joining and WOAH was that a terrible eye opener! I’ve seen so many moms who think it is their way or the highway. And that’s just not cool. Here are a few quotes I’ve seen:

“Why are you supplementing with FORMULA?! You are just poisoning your baby. You should go to a milk bank if supplementing is absolutely necessary”

“You got a what type of carrier? You’re just asking for your baby to never be able to walk because of their hips. And you call yourself a good mom”

“Why on Earth would you work full time? And outside of the house? If you truly loved your babies you would find a way to stay home. Real moms stay home”

Ummm….you’re freaking kidding me right? Seriously? Since when is it ok to talk to another human being that way, period…let alone another new mommy who is trying their best to do what is right for THEIR baby? Why is it that other moms feel the need to be this rude to each other? Call me crazy, but I don’t get it.
I don’t think it’s ok or appropriate to belittle someone else or make them feel terrible for doing something different than you. I also don’t think its ok to be closeminded. Everyone does things differently. Why do people have such a hard time accepting that?
